Meet Your Matcha with our Cancer fighting Smoothie Bowl!
3 x the breast-cancer fighting antioxidants of regular green tea
Matcha is having a moment right now – and it’s for a good reason! This powerfully healthy green beverage is actually made from whole powdered green tea leaves (while regular green tea is just steeped). This means that your average cup of matcha has at least 3x the antioxidant power of regular green tea. What’s more, the main antioxidant in matcha, called EGCG, has been extensively studied for its health benefits, which include fighting breast cancer. In fact, one meta-analysis suggested EGCG rich green tea may reduce risk of breast cancer by 19%!
So it’s no wonder that whenever I’m in the mood for a cool, refreshing breakfast I immediately think of my Maxed Out Matcha Smoothie Bowl. This smoothie is something extra-special, as I’ve amped up the antioxidant power even more by adding a dash of my Cinnapeel Spice blend. This unique blend contains ceylon cinnamon (which may help regulate blood sugar), ginger (great for digestion and reducing inflammation), and granulated orange peel (full of the cancer-fighting antioxidant d-limonene).
What are you waiting for? Max out your morning with this delicious smoothie bowl today!
